[System Administrator / Web and Print Design]
System Configuration - Purchase and configure hardware and software for both Windows and Macintosh systems. Build secure, cross-platform networks, including remote access to printers, and other I/O peripherals.
Troubleshooting - Solve problems in system performance by resolving device conflicts, editing system registry, replacing and upgrading hardware and software, removing adware and viruses, backing data up and upgrading or re-installing operating systems.
System Maintenance - Purchase and install Mac OS updates. Perform software, hardware, and firmware upgrades. Replace hardware such as motherboards, power supplies, and other peripherals. Perform network-wide data backup. Manage and install font libraries.
Consultation - Responsibilities include client consultation on software and hardware issues, on- and off-site repair and cross-platform system maintenance. Meet with clients to provide estimates for web and print solutions that meet and exceed budget and product expectations.
Web Design - Knowledge and implementation of the latest standards in web coding and graphic elements to produce appealing, effective websites for private and small business clients.
Print Design - Use of standard print software such as QuarkXPress and Adobe Illustrator to produce print designs ranging from one page documents such as direct-mail pieces and posters to large documents such as annual reports, company catalogs and monthly periodicals. Working knowledge of the print process.
